ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (EIA)

EPL conducts high quality environmental assessments (EA) to meet the project planning, permitting and management requirements of its clients.

Working closely with the project team, we manage the assessment process to comply with the project deadlines and regulatory requirements.

Our Tools

We use the following scientific methods to make environmental assessment(s) as quantitative as possible:

• GIS presentation of data

In order to provide high quality services to our client, we interface with engineering teams, consult with the regulatory authorities, conservation bodies and other stakeholders, carrying out on the ground and desktop research and meeting tight deadlines.

Why You Need An EIA

Decree No. 58 of 1992 (issued by Federal Government of Nigeria) required that whenever a project, plan or activities are to be undertaken in Nigeria, the proponent has to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to ensure the consideration of the environment in planning and decision making and to ultimately arrive at actions which are more environmentally compatible.
